The INS people tell me that most people cannot afford the few hundred dollars needed to apply for a green card or for naturalization. Their workload has decreased significantly One result is that we get better, more timely service, and most importantly, there has been a metamorphosis of the INS employees, from grumpy, harried people yelling abuse at non-citizens, to courteous, smiling, helpful staff.
My yard has become enormously popular with the local wildlife. Birds and squirrels congregate around the bird feeder as soon as I fill it up. Am I one of the rare ones who still buy wild bird seeds?
So the poor should be discouraged from citizenship?

ReplyDeleteIf you have your own yard, i recommend growing your own food. it's the best way to prepare for a coming depression.

ReplyDeleteWhy would you be the only person that buys wild birdseed? What does that have to do with the green card issue at your office. how are things now as we have not had any recovery in the economy. Are you birds still getting fed? i hope so!
